About the Author
Dr. AgustineJeyaraj is a physician and liver transplant surgeon whose vocation in medicine has always been guided by a deep sense of purpose and compassion. Beyond the operating room, he has been a lifelong student of Scripture — a journey that took on profound depth after his conversion to the Catholic faith in 2003.
Over the past fifteen years, he has immersed himself in the rich spiritual heritage of the Church — the writings of the early Fathers, the wisdom of the mystics, and the contemplative insights of the saints. Out of this long pilgrimage of study and reflection came The Word in the Voices, the first in a series of books devoted to distilling the profound beauty of the Christian tradition into clear, accessible language for modern readers.
Dr. Jeyaraj is also a husband and father of three, with a daughter-in-law and a beloved family dog, Cosmo. When not writing or working, he enjoys science fiction, a good game of chess, and cheering on his favorite football teams. His love of music spans generations — from Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Elton John, Phil Collins , Don McLean , and Billy Joel to The Eagles, Dan Fogelberg, and Roger Hodgson — artists whose songs, like his writings, seek truth through melody and meaning.
